Fantastically well-controlled! The third stanza is especially masterful. And the connection between the opening and closing stanzas is very poignant. You handled the rhymes and the structure so well! *takes copious notes* π Is there a name for this type of poem?

No-it’s just my usual mish-mash – thanks for your kindness π

Grieving lost love at the end of life and trying to reconcile choices… but it’s futile. Are you in a sad mood? LOL! Seriously, it was beautifully poignant and I think applicable to many lives.:)

Man, I’m glad to be here reading your words, Ryan. For me, this poem reminds me of some of the reasons why I don’t often listen to the radio. Beautifully observed.

You know my eyes would always go, to the part where letters adjacent make the same sound. Just that line alone is gorgeous! The drunk ears on their sorrows and news alike.
