This poem has a lot of elements that I enjoyed: mythology, tanka structure, imagery, figurative language… For a moment I thought I could hear the hoofs and then the flaps and the heat of sun.. between a rock and a hard place it seems to me, but yet nobody knows how to take someone to where they belong at the pace needed for them to get there without falling, without getting burned. Gorgeous!

  2. A short-lived relationship can be sad or happy, depending on the intensity of the passion between lift-off and melt-down. A most clever Tanka, my friend. Love everything about this piece. There is a great lesson here!
