Drowning in Blue

Blue With Four Red Bars, by Antoni Tapies (b. Spain), 1966.

Drowning in Blue

Red scars
enclose my heart
in bars-

dreams, cause love to

like glass-
’til even hope
must pass.

Ryan Stone

Written for the 20 poem challenge at Ekphrastic, September 2016.

  1. What a magnificent work you have delivered here dear Ryan. The hand of memories, can do nothing else, but clutch heart away, till bloodied feelings run to find an escape through tear ducts.
Love it … how I have missed reading you.
