Above fields, bright paper planes fly
While dark the shadows dance below.
Like dreams released come morning’s rise
Above fields, bright paper planes fly.
In silence waits the blackened sky,
The final pitch, night’s all star throw.
Above fields bright, paper planes fly,
While dark the shadows dance below.

The days linger, in those shadows and soft light which lives touch and release year by year. You did wonderful with the form! I will give it a try soon too 🙂

Thanks, Dajena. As soon as I read a triolet, the rhythm grabbed me and refused to let go. Writing my own was the only release. I don’t know if it’s 100% correct as I relied on google for the technicalities, but I do like the feel of it. I’m already looking forward to reading one from your talented mind 🙂

Ryan, I’m in complete awe. This is a tremendous piece, one can never know the true intention of the writer, your words reduced me to tears. Congratulations on achieving a remarkable balance between the head and the heart, regardless of how emotional this can be at times. “Ethereal Planes” is truly a significant and beautiful poem.

I’m so sorry, dear Mia – I found your lovely comments hidden away in my spam folder. So this thank you is terribly belated but no less grateful and heartfelt. Thank you for your kindness, this is one of my favourites also. I hope you’ve been well, my friend 🙂

You’re welcome–I love the rhythm of the poem. Maybe I need to try that form again…new laptop is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, so if I’m MIA it means I’m trying to set it up–yikes! 🙂
